Biography

As a commissioned Public Health Services (PHS) Officer Captain James Warner currently serves in the Unites States Coast Guard (USCG) as the Senior Medical Executive of District 14 and Senior Health Services Officer of Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii. CAPT Warner graduated from the Uniformed Services University of Health Services and completed his residency with the U.S. Navy at the Jacksonville Naval Air Station Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program.  Following residency, he went on to serve the Indian Health Service prior to his transfer to the USCG.  Warner has previously served on the USAFP Board of Directors as the USCG/PHS Consultant from 2017-2020, and on the USAFP Executive Board as the Treasurer from 2021-2024.  Prior PHS leadership roles include Chair of the American Indian/Alaskan Native Commissioned Officers Advisory Committee (AIANCOAC), Chair of the Minority Officers Liaison Council (MOLC), and voting member of the PHS Physicians Professional Advisory Committee (PPAC). Married to his beautiful bride of 30 years, Trisha Warner, they have been blessed with 4 wonderful children living their best lives in Oahu, HI.
